The Waiting Game
Listen to this one….
I went to my new job on Tuesday and I fill out all my paperwork and watch the company videos on safety, hazardous chemicals, and sexual harassment. When I am done they tell me I have to take my drug test and that I can go back home because they cannot let me “work” until the results come back that I passed. Duh??? I know I am going to pass, but why didn’t they give me the drug test when I had my interview so I don’t have to be out of work for a few days?
Don’t get me wrong….I like being home with the kids, but I am not getting paid.
I called them yesterday and they are “supposed” to get the results sometime this morning. I might as well just wait until Monday to start because I don’t work weekends anyway.
Okay, I will stop rambling….I will pop back on here and give an update when they call.
